Job summary

You will lead on-site teams, help with scheduling, record-keeping, and liaise with project management to resolve issues, while maintaining compliance with health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in construction supervision or similar supervisory role
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, equipment and safety protocols
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Understanding of health and safety regulations and practices in construction
• Effective communication and ability to motivate teams
• Familiarity with construction management software/record-keeping systems
• Physical fitness to work outdoors in varied weather
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites
• Relevant qualifications or certifications (safety training, supervisory) are desirable
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail in ensuring quality and compliance

Responsibilities

• Supervising and coordinating construction work on site to ensure compliance with plans, specs and safety regulations
• Monitoring productivity and performance; provide guidance for quality workmanship
• Conducting regular site inspections to identify hazards and implement corrective actions
• Maintaining records of daily site activities, labor hours, equipment usage, and materials
• Assisting in scheduling and coordination of tasks and crews to optimise progress
• Liaising between site personnel and management on updates, issues and resources
• Ensuring proper use and maintenance of equipment and tools on site
• Assisting with budget management and cost control initiatives
• Enforcing site policies and adherence to health, safety and environmental standards
• Assisting with training and induction of new site personnel
