Job summary

Advanced Energy is seeking a Construction Project Coordinator to lead major facilities projects, improve production layouts, and upgrade infrastructure. The role focuses on ensuring efficiency, reliability, and maintainability of plant utilities.

You will manage regulatory compliance with PEZA, DOLE, and building codes, prepare bids and specs, and coordinate with engineering, operations, and external contractors to deliver on schedule and budget.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and a PRC license (Board Passer) is required.
  • At least 7 years of facilities engineering experience in industrial/manufacturing settings.
  • Experience in facilities management, engineering projects, or construction project execution.
  • Solid knowledge of project management processes: scope, cost estimation, scheduling, and close-out.
  • Ability to read/interpret engineering drawings and calculations.
  • Familiarity with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and compliance processes for facilities/construction.
  • Experience with contract preparation, bid evaluation, and contractor management.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical reporting skills.
  • Budgeting, billing review, and documentation management proficiency.
  • MS Office and CAD tools are advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Lead facilities and plant management projects across all phases: Initiation, Planning, Execution, Close-Out.
  • Develop complete project documentation including Scope of Works, cost estimates, schedules, and technical specifications.
  • Coordinate engineering projects with Facilities Operations to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient execution.
  • Prepare, evaluate, and recommend bids, contracts, and proposals for upgrades and construction works.
  • Create design plans, technical calculations, and construction drawings for project implementation.
  • Lead project coordination meetings with internal customers including manufacturing, purchasing, finance, EHS, IT.
  • Liaise with external organizations (PEZA, DOLE, Meralco, LTI, etc.) for regulatory permits.
  • Oversee contractor activities ensuring safety, quality, and timelines.
  • Manage project budgets, validate progress billings, and handle financial reporting.
  • Prepare technical reports, risk assessments, and recommendations for management.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Construction Project Coordinator is responsible for leading major facilities projects, including production layout improvements and infrastructure upgrades. It provides technical expertise in managing utility systems with a strong emphasis on efficiency, reliability, and long-term maintainability. The position ensures all plant equipment and utilities remain in optimal operating condition through effective preventive and corrective maintenance programs to prevent operational disruptions. It also ensures full compliance with all relevant external regulatory requirements, including PEZA, DOLE, the National Building Code of the Philippines, and Building Administration standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage facilities and plant management projects across all phases: Initiation, Planning, Execution, and Close-Out.
  • Develop complete project documentation including Scope of Works, cost estimates, schedules, and technical specifications.
  • Coordinate engineering projects with Facilities Operations to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient execution.
  • Prepare, evaluate, and recommend bids, contracts, and proposals for equipment upgrades and construction works.
  • Create design plans, technical calculations, and construction drawings required for project implementation.
  • Lead and Initiate project coordination meetings with internal customers which includes manufacturing stakeholders, support teams such as purchasing, finance, EHS, IT etc.
  • Facilitate, liaison (as needed) and coordinate meetings with external organizations which includes PEZA, DOLE, Meralco, LTI and other external government units for the processing/coordination of regulatory permits related to projects.
  • Oversee contractor activities, ensuring adherence to safety standards, quality requirements, and project timelines.
  • Manage project budgets, validate progress billings, handle financial reporting, and ensure accurate payment processing.
  • Prepare technical reports, risk assessments, and recommendations to support management decisions

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering; licensed engineer (PRC Board Passer required).
  • Atleast 7 years of relevant experience in facilities engineering within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience in facilities management, engineering projects, or construction project execution.
  • Strong knowledge of project management processes, including scope development, cost estimation, scheduling, and close-out procedures.
  • Ability to prepare and interpret engineering design plans, technical drawings, and calculations.
  • Familiarity with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and compliance processes for facilities and construction projects.
  • Experience in contract preparation, bid evaluation, and contractor management.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical reporting skills.
  • Proficient in project budgeting, billing review, financial tracking, and documentation management.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, project management tools, and CAD or related design software is an advantage.
