DMCI Homes is seeking a cost engineer for our project site in San Juan, Batangas. You will prepare accurate cost estimates for project changes, perform quantity take-offs, and support subcontractor billing in line with EPC schedules.
The ideal candidate has a BS Civil Engineering, preferably a licensed professional, with 1 year of estimating or cost engineering experience and strong Excel skills. You will work with cross-functional teams to meet deadlines and budgets.

Qualifications:
Graduate of BS Civil Engineering
Preferably a Licensed Civil Engineer
Preferably with at least one (1) year experience in estimating, quantity surveying, or cost engineering
Background or exposure to construction or engineering environment
Strong analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other basic costing or engineering tools (CostX is an advantage)
Familiar with basic construction contracts, commercial terms, and cost documentation
Able to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively with cross-functional teams
Amenable to work in our project site at San Juan, Batangas
Duties and Responsibilities
Financial Management and Cost Estimation
Prepares accurate and timely cost estimates for project changes including Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Approval (RFA), Confirmation of Verbal Instructions (CVI), Concession Applications (CA), Design Bulletins, and Value Engineering (VE) initiatives
Performs quantity take-offs and prepares bills of materials for owner-supplied items in line with Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) schedules
Reviews, validates, and facilitates subcontractors’ progress billings and variation order claims to ensure compliance with contract terms and cost
Cost Control, Monitoring, and Reporting
Monitors material usage, quantities, and costs to ensure alignment with approved budgets and contractual limits
Tracks project cost performance and prepares budget vs. actual, cost-to-complete, and variance reports
Maintains updated cost assessment trackers and project dashboards reflecting budgeted, awarded, and actual costs
Coordinates with head office cost engineers and internal departments on cost reporting and financial documentation
Validates cost data entries and supports project close-out by resolving outstanding cost and commercial items
