Job summary

Mike Steel Construction Inc. is seeking a qualified CAD Operator to join the construction team. You will prepare and revise technical drawings, coordinate with engineers and site personnel, and ensure all drawings comply with project requirements.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field, 3–5 years in construction drafting, and strong AutoCAD 2D/3D skills. Proficiency in Civil 3D, SketchUp, or Revit is an advantage. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduate in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Drafting Technology or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in construction drafting preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D/3D is required.
• Knowledge of Civil 3D, SketchUp, or Revit is an advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and civil plans.
• Experience in shop drawings and as-built drawings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and revise technical/construction drawings.
• Prepare shop drawings and as-built drawings.
• Update drawings based on site conditions and engineer/architect instructions.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, and site personnel.
• Maintain and organize CAD files and drawing revisions.
• Assist with site measurements and verification when required.
• Ensure drawings are accurate and comply with project requirements.
• Perform other related drafting tasks as assigned.
