Job summary

BDO Unibank in the Philippines seeks a Compliance Checking Officer/Processor to manage loan account processing, documentary deficiencies validation, and compliance checks in line with approved terms and bank policies.

You will work with units like IBG, CLG, BDOLFI, BBG, and Remedial Management, ensuring timely, accurate documentation and adherence to service levels. This role requires meticulous review of documents, signatures, and system updates across SCALE, AAF, CLAS, and related platforms.

Responsibilities

• Processes loan accounts through documentary deficiencies validation and compliance checking.
• Reviews approved terms and conditions in the Credit Proposal/CE S/Credit Loan Approval Memorandum (LAM).
• Verifies clients’ signatures on loan/lease documents.
• Tags and updates documentary deficiencies and compliances in SCALE, Ambit Asset Finance (AAF), CTS ONLINE, CLAS and One LFS, as applicable.
• Prepares Documents-In-Order (DIO) certifications for assigned accounts.
• Documents and checklist needed for registration; SRI and safekeeping-related tasks.
• Sets-up and updates facility and collateral details in ICBS, AAF and FAMS.
• Approves DIOs falling under approval authority before release to units.
• Processes notarization of documents; affixes documentary stamp tax (DST).
• Scans and indexes documents in DMI; safe-keeps collateral documents until titles submission.
• Culls loan/lease documents in folders per chart of documents; performs other related tasks.

Job Summary

The Compliance Checking Officer / Processor is primarily responsible for the processing of loan accounts through documentary deficiencies
validation and compliance checking in accordance with approved terms and conditions, standard operating procedures, Bank policies and guidelines
and within the set service levels agreed with various business units such as, but not limited to, Institutional Banking Group (IBG), Consumer Lending
Group (CLG), BDO Leasing and Finance Inc.(BDOLFI), Branch Banking Group (BBG) and Remedial Management.

Key Responsibilities

• 1. Processes loan accounts through documentary deficiencies validation and compliance checking
  • 1.1 Reviews approved terms and conditions in the Credit Proposal (CP) / Credit Evaluation Sheet (CES) Credit Loan Approval Memorandum (LAM)
  • 1.2 Checks completeness and acceptability of loan documents and requirements submitted by the client / dealer vis‑à‑vis the checklist prepared and terms and conditions in the CP / LAMl
  • 1.3 Verifies clients’ signatures on loan / lease documents
  • 1.4 Tags and Updates documentary deficiencies and compliances per set deadlines in Solution Construction Aid for Lending Excellence (SCALE) and Ambit Asset Finance (AAF), CTS ONLINE, Consumer Loan Application System (CLAS) and One Loan Front-end System (One LFS), as applicable
• 2. Prepares the following:
  • 2.1 Documents-In-Order (DIO) certifications for assigned accounts
  • 2.2 Certifications, letters to government agencies, clients, other bank, developers, dealers and sellers
  • 2.3 Documents and checklist needed for registration
  • 2.4 Securities-Receipt-In (SRI) for original documents to be forwarded for safekeeping to Securities Custodianship Unit (SCU)
  • 2.5 Certification of loan / lease and collateral documents for reconciliation of documents safekept with SCU, as applicable
  • 2.6 Fully paid loan / lease folders for Document Archive Management System (DAMS), as applicable
  • 2.7 Monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual reports, as assigned
• 3. Sets-up and updates facility and collateral details in International Comprehensive Banking System (ICBS), Ambit Asset Finance (AAF) and Factors Management System (FAMS), as applicable
• 4. Approves (as designated) DIOs falling under his / her approval authority before release to implementing units
• 5. Processes notarization (bank’s signatories) of documents
• 6. Affixes documentary stamp tax (DST), as assigned
• 7. Scans and indexes documents in Document Management Imaging (DMI) in accordance with the chart of documents
• 8. Safe-keeps collateral related documents while awaiting submission of titles from the developer (for CBG only)
• 9. Culls loan / lease documents in loan / lease folder in accordance with the chart of documents
• Others
• 10. Performs other related functions as may be assigned from time to time
