Job summary

Mission Hospice and Home Care in San Mateo County is seeking a Hospice Aide to provide personal care services to our hospice patients. Schedule: Per diem; 7:30 am – 3:30 pm; must be available for at least 6 shifts per month. Location: San Mateo County with occasional coverage to San Ramon.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved Home Health Aide training program.
• HOME CARE AIDE (HCA) CERTIFICATION IS NOT ACCEPTED.

Responsibilities

• Assist patient in bathing, care of mouth, skin, and hair as needed.
• Assist patient in and out of bed and with ambulation.
• Turn patient in bed, position for comfort, and change bed linen.
• Assist with prescribed exercises as directed.
