Job Description
BASIC FUNCTION
To promote health, provide care to sick employees and prevent spread of disease.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the first aid treatment of employees in cases of emergency orwork-related accident/incident.
- Accompanies patient-employee to the nearest hospital in case of emergency orlife-threatening condition.
- In the absence of the doctor, sends patient-employee home in cases ofcommunicable disease and other conditions requiring tests.
- Dispenses, monitors, and issues medicines.
- Provides assistance for the check-up of the employees and carries out doctor'sorder.
- Provides assistance to the qualified medical provider during the Annual PhysicalExamination of all qualified employees.
- Responsible for the issuance of "Return to Work/Employee Medical Clearance".
- Reports accident/incident and other special cases immediately to the HeadSafety Officer/immediate superior.
- Provides medical counseling to employees and posts or sends informativeposters and leaflets.
- Conducts home visits to employees as the need arises.
- Updates, files, safekeeps and ensures data privacy of the employee’s medicalrecords.
- Formulates clinic programs and implements the same, such as but not limited tofirst aid, family planning and control of communicable diseases.
- Conducts orientation to employees regarding Clinic Policy and coordinates otherhealth-related and safety-related training programs.
- Releases health advisories concerning health trends and awareness activities.
- Checks/Prepares monthly reports and monitors trend/s of prevalent illnesses.
- Works in accordance with the safety practices established by the company.
- Participates in safety inspection as a member of the committee.
- Reports unsafe conditions and practices.
- Maintains cleanliness and orderliness in the Clinic at all times.
- Performs administrative and other tasks which may be assigned from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Must be a Registered Nurse (with a valid PRC License)
- With at least 1-2 years of experience in occupational health, corporate clinic, or hospital setting.
- Knowledgeable in first aid, emergency response, and workplace health programs.
- Familiar with employees’ medical records management and health monitoring.
- Knowledge of DOLE health and safety regulations is an advantage.
- Ability to conduct health assessments, wellness programs, and health education activities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to maintain confidentiality of employee medical information.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of handling multiple tasks.
- Willing to work on-site and respond to medical emergencies when needed.
- Amenable to work in Brgy. Ugong Norte, Quezon City
