The Company Nurse is responsible for providing basic healthcare services, ensuring workplace health andsafety, and promoting employee wellness within the organization. The role includes attending to medicalneeds, administering first aid, assisting in HMO coordination, and supporting health-related programs incompliance with government regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
Medical and Clinical Care
- Provide first aid and emergency care to employees during accidents or sudden illnesses at theworkplace.
- Assess and monitor employees’ health conditions and recommend further medical evaluation whennecessary.
- Administer over-the-counter medications as prescribed in the company’s standing orders.
- Maintain and secure accurate medical records of all consultations, treatments, and referrals.
Health Monitoring and Administration
- Conduct health assessments, vital signs monitoring, and medical profiling of employees.
- Assist in pre-employment and annual medical examinations, ensuring proper documentation andcompliance.
- Monitor employees with medical conditions and provide health advice or workplace adjustments asneeded.
- Maintain clinic supplies, medicines, and equipment, ensuring availability and proper inventory.
Wellness and Safety Programs
- Support the planning and implementation of health and wellness programs.
- Conduct health education and awareness campaigns within the workplace.
- Assist the Health & Safety Committee in promoting occupational health and safety standards.
- Participate in emergency preparedness drills and ensure readiness of medical response.
HMO and External Coordination
- Coordinate with the company’s HMO provider, Avega, for employee healthcare benefits, medicalassistance, and reimbursement processing.
- Assist employees in inquiries regarding medical benefits, claims, and procedures.
Qualifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the Philippines.
- With at least 1 year of clinical or company nurse experience (preferred but not required for freshRNs).
- Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential employee health information with professionalism.
Work Schedule
- Full-time position, with shifting schedules as required by company operations
