Job summary

Good Neighbors International Philippines Branch Inc. is seeking a Microfinance Officer to implement community-based financial empowerment programs in Quezon City.

The role focuses on organizing Savings and Credit Groups, facilitating microcredit, and training women, youth, and micro-entrepreneurs. The successful candidate will handle loan profiling, documentation, disbursement, collections, and prepare monthly reports, contributing to GNIP's social economy framework through strong coordination

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cooperatives, Cooperative Management, Entrepreneurship, Marketing or Microfinance (preferred).
• Experience in the NGO sector is advantageous.
• Strong discipline in loan processing and savings mobilization.
• Ability to conduct simple training for group strengthening.
• Leadership and community mobilization skills.
• Basic math and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Organize and strengthen community-based financial groups (SCGs, IGGs, cooperatives).
• Facilitate inclusive access to microcredit and training for members.
• Assist loan applicants with documentation and loan agreements.
• Ensure timely collection of loan repayments and follow-up as needed.
• Submit monthly collection reports and program updates; consolidate loan documents for audit readiness.
• Lead or support capacity-building sessions on financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and basic business planning.
• Coordinate with local government units, training institutions, and private sector actors.
