Job summary

Good Cup Global Roastery Inc. in the Philippines seeks a Commissary Manager to lead end-to-end operations of the Commissary, the industrial core of the brand. You will oversee production, warehouse, wholesale fulfillment, and technical services to ensure on-time, on-spec deliveries.

This hands-on role emphasizes SOPs, OEE, HACCP, and 5S, driving continuous improvement, data capture in ERP/MES, and KPI reporting across daily and weekly cycles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Industrial/Mechanical Eng, Food Tech, Ops Mgmt)
• 4+ years in plant/manufacturing, 2+ leading a plant/comissary
• Hands-on HACCP, FSSC 22000, GMP in regulated env
• Experience with ERP and plant-tracking/MES tools

Responsibilities

• Run day-to-day operations across Production, Warehouse, Wholesale Fulfillment, and Technical Services as one integrated plant
• Drive yield, throughput, OEE, downtime, and defect metrics through disciplined planning and continuous improvement
• Enforce accurate data capture in ERP and plant tracking tools for traceability
• Lead HACCP/FSSC readiness, 5S, and sanitation programs with zero major nonconformance
• Partner with Sales and Fulfillment to hit OTIF targets across channels
• Own preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize unplanned downtime
• Hire, train, and coach plant staff into accountable, standards-driven operators
• Deliver accurate daily, weekly (L10), and monthly KPI reports

Job description

Good Cup Global Roastery Inc. (GCG) is the industrial and roastery arm of the Good Cup brand. As we scale our Production Facility and commission our new Mandaue Plant, we're consolidating plant leadership under one accountable owner who can run the Commissary as a single integrated engine covering production, warehouse, wholesale fulfillment, and technical services.

As Commissary Manager (Head of Commissary), you'll lead end-to-end operations of the Commissary, the industrial nucleus of the brand. You'll report to the Managing Director and work closely with Quality, Supply Chain, Sales, Systems Development, and HR to make sure every roast, every pallet, and every wholesale order leaves on time, on spec, and on standard.

This is a hands‑on, plant‑floor role for someone who thinks in SOPs, OEE, HACCP, and 5S.

What You'll Do

• Run day‑to‑day operations across Production, Warehouse, Wholesale Fulfillment, and Technical Services as one integrated plant
• Drive yield, throughput, OEE, downtime, and defect metrics through disciplined planning and continuous improvement
• Enforce accurate data capture in our ERP and plant tracking tools so every roast, batch, and shipment is traceable end to end
• Lead HACCP and FSSC readiness, 5S, and sanitation programs with zero major nonconformance
• Partner with Sales and Fulfillment to hit OTIF targets across café, e-commerce, wholesale, and enterprise channels
• Own preventive and corrective maintenance through Technical Services to minimize unplanned downtime
• Hire, train, and coach plant staff into accountable, standards-driven operators
• Deliver accurate daily, weekly (L10), and monthly reports on KPIs, variances, incidents, and improvement initiatives

Must-Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, Food Technology, Operations Management, or a related technical field
• 4+ years of progressive plant or manufacturing experience, including 2+ years leading a plant, commissary, or full production site (F&B, FMCG, or beverage preferred)
• Proven track record running production, warehouse, and fulfillment under one roof, not just one function
• Hands‑on HACCP, FSSC 22000, and GMP experience in a regulated production environment
• Working knowledge of ERP and plant tracking or MES tools
• Experience leading a plant team across production, warehouse, fulfillment, and technical staff
• Strong grasp of preventive maintenance, utilities, and equipment reliability
• Advanced data literacy: KPIs, OEE, yield analysis, variance reporting, Excel and/or Google Sheets

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience commissioning a new or greenfield facility
• Background in specialty coffee, roasting, or beverage manufacturing
• Experience running B2B fulfillment with OTIF, SLA, and channel-mix complexity
