Job summary

Tonik Bank in the Philippines is seeking a Collections Team Lead in Operations. You will oversee daily activities of the Desk Collectors, plan workloads, and guide the team to develop and execute collection strategies that improve recovery results.

You will coach staff, generate KPI reports, and ensure compliance with Central Bank regulations while collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and supervises daily activities of the Desk Collectors.
• Assists Desk Collectors or advises on difficult collections cases.
• Provides coaching to direct reports.
• Generates daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports and KPIs.
• Escalates issues to management as needed.
• Processes reversals and ensures issue resolution in collections.
• Aims to meet or exceed set targets for the team.
• Adheres to Central Bank policies and company rules.
• Performs other tasks as required by management to comply with regulations.

Collections Team Lead

As a Collections Team Lead, you will provide day-today work to the group, conducts workload study, plans activities, sets direction, and provides supervision to and evaluation of direct reports. This role plays a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the collections department, ensuring efficient and effective debt recovery processes. Your responsibilities will include leading a team of collections specialists, developing, and implementing collection strategies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, coordinates and supervises the daily activities of the Desk Collectors
• Assists Desk Collectors or recommends collection techniques for difficult situations
• Provides the necessary coaching to direct reports
• Generates daily, weekly, monthly reports related to performance updates and KPIs
• Escalates the necessary items to management
• Processes reversals when necessaryEnsures resolution of customer issues raised through the Collection Department
• Attains the set targets
• Adheres to the Central Bank and the Company's policies
• Perform other tasks as assigned by Management to fulfil organizational and regulatory requirements

Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or a related field
• With at least, one (1) year of previous Collections Team Leader experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrates a high level of technical proficiency regarding Client and Company collection systems and processes which measurably exceeds minimal requirements
• High degree of drive and determination to achieve or exceed set goals
