Job summary

Emerson is seeking a Collections Specialist to join a dynamic finance team focused on enhancing collection efforts and driving continuous improvements. You will provide first-line credit and collection services via phone and email to meet Emerson’s financial goals.

You will manage diverse customer portfolios, review accounts for collections, and communicate monthly Statements of Accounts while collecting payments and escalating disputes as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a finance field is required.
• 2 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Collections, Customer Service, Finance Operations.
• Proficient in MS Excel and Word.

• Review open/active accounts for collection efforts.
• Prepare and communicate monthly Statement of Accounts to all assigned customers.
• Collect customer payments in accordance with payment due dates including pre-due date reminder calls/emails and follow-ups on aging balances.
• Identify, validate and log customer disputes to initiate resolution and escalation.
• Perform initial investigation and communicate findings with the proper owners/resolvers.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Manage assigned portfolio which includes varying account types such as strategic accounts, trading partners, intercompany and end customers.
• Review open/active accounts for collection efforts.
• Prepare and communicate monthly Statement of Accounts to all assigned customers.
• Collect customer payments in accordance with payment due dates which would include pre-due date reminder calls/emails and follow-up on aging balances.
• Identify, validate and log customer disputes to initiate resolution and escalation.
• Perform initial investigation and communicate findings with the proper owners/resolvers
