Job summary

PayJoy, Inc. is seeking a Collections Supervisor to streamline the company's collections efforts and strengthen liquidity for growth. You will lead a team, develop delinquency strategies for 1–15 days past due, and coordinate with external agencies to optimize recoveries.

You will collaborate across Quality, Training, Product, CX, Engineering, Data, Legal and Finance, ensuring strict regulatory compliance and ongoing process improvements using data-driven insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field.
• 2–4 years of collections management, team leadership, and customer service.
• Experience with collection management software and MS Office; SQL is a plus.
• Knowledge of credit reporting procedures and compliance standards.
• Strong analytical abilities and performance measurement experience.
• Organizational and collaboration skills across internal and external teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute early-stage delinquency strategy for 1–15 days past due using digital channels.
• Manage manual operational processes for collections, including portfolio file prep and delivery to external agencies.
• Provide coaching and follow-up based on QA evaluations.
• Serve as main contact with Quality, Training, Product, CX, Engineering, Data, Legal, Marketing and Finance.
• Identify bottlenecks and document process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with collection regulations and internal policies.
• Coordinate with external agencies, allocating portfolios >16 days past due.
• Monitor recovery rates, campaign profitability, and collection KPIs.
• Generate analytical reports to guide strategy decisions.
• Design, run experiments to improve recovery rates.
• Monitor local regulations to mitigate legal risks.
