Job summary

Chevron Philippines Inc. in Makati is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join a hybrid team. The role focuses on proactive incident prevention, data-driven problem solving, and automation across on-prem and cloud environments.

You will lead agile teams, support critical incidents, enhance logging, and drive improvements in system reliability and performance for Chevron’s services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or MIS or equivalent experience.
• Experience with on-prem and cloud architecture, Azure, Windows and Linux OS, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, change management, API integration, and automation.
• Strong ITSM knowledge, especially Incident Management.
• Excellent communication, able to summarize complex technical info for non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Proactively prevent incidents by baselining service performance and using data analytics.
• Lead agile product teams in troubleshooting and resolving system problems across multiple technologies.
• Provide on-call support during critical incidents and be a technical resource.
• Identify gaps in SRE maturity and propose improvement plans.
• Develop automation scripts to reduce toil and improve logging and resolution times.
• Oversee production environments and maintain holistic system health.
• Collaborate with peers and leaders to apply DevOps/SRE best practices.
