Job summary

RS2 is seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to join our team in the Philippines. You will manage Oracle configurations on cloud platforms, optimize performance for our banking-focused applications, and develop automation scripts to streamline day-to-day tasks.

The role requires strong Bash/SQL skills and Unix/Linux experience. The ideal candidate has 4+ years in Oracle DBA, familiarity with cloud DBaaS, encryption, and disaster recovery.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Oracle database administration experience.
• Experience with Bash and SQL.
• Unix/Linux database deployments and admin.
• Knowledge of cloud Database as a Service (PostgreSQL or Kafka) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage Oracle database configurations on cloud deployments.
• Optimize database performance to support applications.
• Write scripts to automate tasks.
• Troubleshoot performance issues and provide resolutions.
• Perform regular backups and disaster recovery planning.
• Monitor and patch production databases per SLAs.
• Test new database versions and features.
• Maintain database security, encryption, and key management.
