Job summary

Avaloq invites a senior Oracle database professional to join the APAC Data Platform organization. You will work with Database Operations, Infrastructure, Security, Cloud Engineering, and App teams to ensure stability, performance, security, and scalability of enterprise databases across APAC.

The role emphasizes Oracle DBA, cloud database engineering, automation, and service reliability. Production platforms are hosted on OCI with AWS and hybrid environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years in Oracle DBA/Cloud DBA roles.
• Hands-on Oracle administration in enterprise environments.
• Experience with OCI and AWS environments.
• Strong Linux/Unix administration skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and optimize enterprise database platforms (Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc.).
• Manage migrations, patching, cloning, and platform lifecycle activities.
• Ensure security, availability, performance and DR readiness.
• Automate DBA tasks and build IaC solutions.
• Support CI/CD pipelines for database platform delivery.
• Collaborate with global teams in a follow-the-sun model.
