STARBREAKER CORP in Metro Manila is seeking a Backend Engineer (Node.js, TypeScript & AWS) to design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs that power our digital platforms. You will work with cross-functional teams to build secure, scalable cloud-native solutions on AWS, implement serverless patterns, CI/CD, testing, and code reviews to ensure reliability and performance.

A strong candidate brings hands-on experience with relational and NoSQL databases and a passion for engineering

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs.
• Build cloud-native applications on AWS.
• Ensure security, reliability, and scalability of backend systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the delivery lifecycle.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Build scalable and maintainable application services that support web, mobile, and platform integrations.
• Develop reusable, well-structured, and testable code following established engineering standards.
• Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to solution implementation.
• Build and manage cloud-native applications and infrastructure using AWS services.
• Develop serverless and event-driven solutions using AWS services.
• Ensure backend systems are secure, resilient, scalable, and cost-efficient.
• Support platform reliability, monitoring, logging, and operational readiness.
• Design and implement integrations between internal platforms, third-party services, and external partners.
• Develop and maintain database schemas, queries, and data access patterns across relational and NoSQL databases.
• Ensure data integrity, consistency, and performance across backend systems.
• Support event-driven and asynchronous processing patterns where appropriate.
• Apply best practices in API design, software architecture, testing, security, and performance optimization.
• Write automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards.
• Implement secure authentication, authorization, and data protection practices.
• Ensure applications comply with reliability, scalability, and security requirements.
