They specialize in network security, cloud transformation, and large-scale IT operations, supporting mission-critical environments with high security and compliance standards. About the Role We’re looking for a Cloud Support Engineer (FinOps) to join a critical cloud operations team supporting a banking environment in the Philippines . In this role, you’ll help monitor and manage FinOps practices across AWS and Azure , ensuring cloud spending is transparent, optimized, and aligned with business goals. This is ideal for someone who combines public cloud technical expertise with strong cloud cost governance and optimization skills , and who can bridge engineering, finance, and operations to drive smarter cloud spend decisions. What You’ll Do Monitor and manage FinOps practices across AWS and Azure Ensure cloud costs are visible across teams and help stakeholders understand usage and spending patterns Identify opportunities to reduce waste through rightsizing, resource cleanup, and cost optimization strategies Analyze cloud billing, cost reports, and consumption trends to uncover inefficiencies Provide cost reports, forecasts, and cloud spend insights to support decision-making Work closely with engineering, product, and finance teams to align cloud usage with business objectives Establish and support governance policies and best practices for ongoing cloud cost management Develop or support automation for cost monitoring, anomaly detection, and reporting Ensure cloud financial management aligns with security, compliance, and governance standards Help improve visibility, efficiency, and accountability across the organization’s public cloud environments What We’re Looking For 5–7 years of experience in cloud operations, cloud support, or FinOps-related roles Strong hands-on experience with AWS and Azure Experience in cloud cost optimization, cost reporting, billing analysis, or cloud financial management Good understanding of resource management, cloud consumption tracking, and cost governance Experience working with cloud operating models, cost reporting, and financial analysis Knowledge of automation / scripting for cloud monitoring or reporting Ability to collaborate across engineering, operations, and finance stakeholders Familiarity with FinOps methodologies and cloud governance frameworks Nice-to-Have Understanding of FinOps principles and cloud economics Experience implementing FinOps practices on public cloud platforms Advanced expertise in governing and optimizing cloud costs FinOps certification is a plus Apply now or send your resume to trixie@socium.team Show more Show lessChange LocationFind awesome listings near you!
