Job summary

OpsWerks is a technical consulting firm seeking a Cloud Operations Engineer to manage, optimize, and support mission-critical cloud environments across multiple platforms. This on-site role in Mandaluyong emphasizes high availability, performance, and security of cloud systems.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in cloud operations with AWS, plus hands-on experience with additional clouds, DevOps practices, and Kubernetes. A strong focus on automation and incident management is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in cloud operations (AWS required).
• Hands-on experience with at least one additional cloud platform (Azure, GCP, or Alibaba Cloud).
• Experience in multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments (design/architecture a plus).
• Strong background in DevOps and CI/CD practices.
• Experience with tools such as Git, GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, TeamCity, Spinnaker, Artifactory.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes or container orchestration platforms.
• Exposure to technical support, infrastructure, and platform services.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS SysOps) are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high availability, performance, security, and scalability of cloud-based systems.
• Collaborate with SRE teams and cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
• Act as an escalation point for technical issues, leading troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Perform systems administration, monitoring, and incident management.
• Contribute to automation, process improvements, and operational documentation.
• Analyze system performance and provide data-driven recommendations.
• Serve as a SME in cloud platforms and services.
• Lead or support engineering initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
