Job summary

MediCard Phils., Inc. is seeking an experienced Cloud Architect focused on Azure to design and implement scalable cloud solutions for health IT systems.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, cost-efficient and compliant cloud deployments, while staying current with Azure features and maintaining architecture documentation.

However, MEDICard has taken the lead in providing innovative and productive ideas that cut down the cost of health maintenance without compromising its quality. MediCard now boasts of more than half a million members and over 54,000 accredited doctors in over 1,000 hospitals and clinics nationwide. It also operates 16 MediCard free-standing clinics that provide services at par with those offered by hospitals minus the confinement. MediCard is currently looking for assertive, dynamic and energetic individuals to fill up the following vacancy: Responsible for developing information technology architecture solutions in integrated process, applications, data and technology to meet AIA's business needs

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform technical planning, architecture development and modification of specifications
• Develop specifications for new information technology products, applications and system service offerings
• Assess the compatibility and integration of IT products and services proposed as standards in order to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent technologies
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate cloud services into applications.
• Develop and maintain cloud architecture documentation and best practices.
• Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure for cost, performance, and security.
• Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams and clients.
• Conduct regular assessments and audits of cloud environments to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Stay updated with the latest Azure features and technologies to continuously improve solutions.
• Manage, own, and update Azure Cloud Landing Zone

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Cloud Architect or similar role, with a focus on Azure.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
• Proficiency in Azure services such as Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, Azure Networking, and Azure Active Directory.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like ARM templates, Terraform, or Bicep.
• Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards in cloud environments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of hybrid cloud solutions and integration with on-premises systems

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of microservices architecture and serverless computing.
• Knowledge of database services (e.g., Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB).
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Log Analytics).
• Understanding of networking concepts and technologies (e.g., VPN, VNet, Load Balancers).
• Familiarity with hybrid cloud solutions and integration with on-premises systems.
• Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
