Job summary

MediCard Philippines, Inc. is seeking a Cloud Architect to design and implement scalable cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure that align with business needs.

The role requires deep business and technical understanding to deliver secure, compliant, and cost-efficient architectures. Responsibilities include collaboration with developers, creating architecture documentation, and maintaining the Azure Landing Zone.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Cloud Architect or similar role with a focus on Azure.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
• Experience with Azure services: VMs, Storage, Networking, Active Directory.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate cloud services into applications.
• Develop and maintain cloud architecture documentation and best practices.
• Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure for cost, performance, and security.
• Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams and clients.
• Conduct regular assessments and audits of cloud environments for compliance.
• Stay updated with latest Azure features and technologies to improve solutions.
• Manage and update Azure Cloud Landing Zone.

The Cloud Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud technology solutions that meet the business needs within MediCard. This role requires a deep understanding of both business and technical aspects, ensuring that solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with industry’s best practices.

• Manage, own, and update Azure Cloud Landing Zone

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Cloud Architect or similar role, with a focus on Azure.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
• Proficiency in Azure services such as Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, Azure Networking, and Azure Active Directory.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like ARM templates, Terraform, or Bicep.
• Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards in cloud environments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Required

• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of microservices architecture and serverless computing.
• Knowledge of database services (e.g., Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB).
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Log Analytics).
• Understanding of networking concepts and technologies (e.g., VPN, VNet, Load Balancers).
• Familiarity with hybrid cloud solutions and integration with on-premises systems.
• Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity planning.

Preferred Qualifications

• Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of hybrid cloud solutions and integration with on-premises systems.

Work Set-Up

Hybrid, 3-4 days onsite per week
