Job summary

MediCard is seeking a Cloud Architect to design and implement scalable, secure cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure. The role collaborates with development teams to integrate cloud services, develops architecture documentation, and optimizes cost and performance across environments.

Qualified candidates will have Azure expertise, IaC experience (ARM, Terraform, or Bicep), and a strong understanding of security and compliance in cloud settings. Hybrid work setup in Makati, Philippines.

Cloud Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud technology solutions that meet the business needs within MediCard. This role requires a deep understanding of both business and technical aspects, ensuring that solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with industry’s best practices.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate cloud services into applications.
• Develop and maintain cloud architecture documentation and best practices.
• Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure for cost, performance, and security.
• Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams and clients.
• Conduct regular assessments and audits of cloud environments to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Stay updated with the latest Azure features and technologies to continuously improve solutions.
• Manage, own, and update Azure Cloud Landing Zone

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Cloud Architect or similar role, with a focus on Azure.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
• Proficiency in Azure services such as Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, Azure Networking, and Azure Active Directory.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like ARM templates, Terraform, or Bicep.
• Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards in cloud environments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Required:

• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of microservices architecture and serverless computing.
• Knowledge of database services (e.g., Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB).
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Log Analytics).
• Understanding of networking concepts and technologies (e.g., VPN, VNet, Load Balancers).
• Familiarity with hybrid cloud solutions and integration with on-premises systems.
• Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity planning.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of hybrid cloud solutions and integration with on-premises systems.

Work Location: AIA Head Office, Makati City

Work Set-Up: Hybrid, 3-4 days onsite per week
