Job summary

WSP Manila, Inc. is seeking a Civil CAD Drafter to support Roads, Aviation and Civil projects. You will prepare civil drawings from basic data, develop arrangements from sketches and ensure accuracy and presentation quality.

Ideal candidates have 3–7 years in civil drafting, strong AutoCAD or MicroStation skills, and familiarity with Civil 3D; Australian project experience is a plus. Join a collaborative team in Manila to contribute to major infrastructure initiatives.

Qualifications

• Graduate of any technical course or at least three years in BS Engineering or BS Architecture.
• 3-7 years of relevant civil drafting experience.
• Experience on several sized projects as CAD support within a CAD team.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, MicroStation, ProjectWise; Civil 3D is an advantage.
• Preferably with experience on Australian projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop general arrangement drawings from engineers' sketches and other drawings.
• Ensure clarity, completeness and accuracy of drawings and presentations.
• Follow QA, document control, archiving and CDM guidelines on all work.
• Work with project team on specified aspects of the project.
• Perform tasks assigned by Lead Technicians and Managers according to experience.

Job description

To work as part of our Roads, Aviation and Civil Team to provide CAD support to engineering projects. Preparation of Civil drawings developed from basic data supplied.

Responsibilities:

• Assist project set up by agreeing drawing strategy, type and size of drawings and drawing numbering with project lead, and suggesting methods of drawing production to ensure efficient methods of working
• Agree priorities and deadlines for drawing production with Project Lead
• Develop general arrangement drawings from engineer’s sketches and other design team member drawings and details and develop sketches into coordinated details
• Responsible for the clarity, completeness and accuracy of drawings and presentation materials produced.
• Adheres to prescribed drafting standard and procedures.
• Follow QA, document control, archiving & CDM guidelines on all work
• Conscientiously works towards the group’s objectives and adheres to the company’s policy.
• Work with project team members on specified aspects of the project
• Perform tasks assigned by the Principal Civil Technician / Drafting Discipline Lead / Discipline Lead / Transport Manila Operations Manager/ Regional Team Executive in line with his experience, discipline or qualifications.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of any technical course or at least three (3) years in BS Engineering or BS Architecture course
• 3 -7 years of relevant civil drafting experience
• Experience of working on several sized projects, as CAD support and as part of a wider CAD team — Knowledgeable in any drafting software like AutoCAD, MicroStation, ProjectWise
• Proficiency in Civil 3D an advantage
• Preferably with experience on Australian projects
