Job summary

Gough Recruitment (Hong Kong) Pty Limited is seeking a lead civil engineer to drive site development and infrastructure for hyperscale data centre projects across APAC. Based in Singapore, you will own road, drainage, earthworks, and underground utilities, coordinating with structural and MEP teams from greenfield to handover.

You will manage submissions to authorities, review contractor plans, and collaborate with clients and consultants to ensure compliance with local standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering
• 10+ years in civil design for large-scale industrial, infrastructure, or data centre projects
• Strong knowledge of geotechnical engineering, earthworks, drainage, and pavement design
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and BIM coordination workflows
• Experience with Singapore statutory submissions and building codes

Responsibilities

• Lead civil design for site development including drainage, earthworks, and underground utilities.
• Plan utility corridors, hardstandings, and site grading to support data hall and plant layouts.
• Coordinate with structural and MEP teams on trenching, duct banks, and utility routing.
• Review contractor submittals, method statements, and temporary works proposals.
• Manage stormwater, sewerage, and potable water reticulation per local statutory requirements.
• Support authority submissions (building plans, work permits, drainage proposals) and site inspections.
• Collaborate with clients, consultants, and contractors across multiple newbuild projects to ensure alignment with project specifications and local standards.
