Power Dimension, Inc. is seeking a Civil/Structural Design Engineer in Quezon City to interpret client requirements and turn ideas into detailed technical plans. You will research developments, assess cost/timeliness/safety, and present reports.
Responsibilities include drawing preparation, site verification, bid document review, and coordination with design and construction teams. The role requires a BS in Civil Engineering, PRC licensure, and 1–2 years of relevant EPC/construction experience
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the interpretation of the client’s requirements, researching new developments and innovations, and turning those ideas into technical plans. Consider cost, timeliness, effectiveness, and safety of new designs. Write and present reports.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan the options for the design process for Tendering and awarded projects that require design outputs.
Assist Design Engineers II and III with drawings under the Tendering stage.
If necessary, DE1 shall attend and carry out Design Engineer II or III Tendering work in the absence of the latter.
Conduct site inspection (for verification and validation purposes).
Coordinate with third party surveyor for Relo-Topo Survey, Geotechnical Survey, Georesistivity Survey, Earth Resistivity, or Hydrological Survey whenever necessary. (Applicable for Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical).
Conduct research by reviewing reference materials and all relevant bid and turnover documents from the Sales group, including but not limited to bid documents, BOQs, contracts, and construction schedules.
Attend kick-off meeting, design planning meeting, and coordinate with the client's technical representative.
Prepare the drawing masterlist for proper monitoring and ensure proper updates on the internal drawing masterlist. Align the IFC target dates with Construction schedules.
Prepare conceptual drawings and design schemes (including plans, perspectives, and 3D models-DA) to support project design and calculations using relevant software, and coordinate with design engineers and third-party consultants as required.
Discuss with the immediate superior the proposed designs for quality checking and value engineering. Make revisions as suggested.
Finalization of drawings as per the comments of the superior or, if applicable, the PDI consultant’s design and computation. This includes coordinating with CAD operators for any changes and updates.
Prepare Technical Specifications and a Material Sample Card for submission, along with the design drawings.
Monitor drawing submittal register for drawing updates and approval, and make necessary revisions as per the client’s comments until all drawings are approved.
Coordinate with the Construction group or other Divisions if they need assistance.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be a graduate of the Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
Must have passed the civil licensure board examination. PRC licensed.
Attended a minimum of 40 hours of training related to Electrical Technical Expertise (software, conventions, seminars, etc.)
Must have at least gained relevant 1 - 2 years of work experience as a Civil/Structural Design Engineer in an EPC and/or construction companies engaging in power and/or energy projects.
Must be willing to work in Quezon City.
Can start immediately/ASAP.
