Job summary

Platform Outsourcing is seeking an experienced Groundworks Estimator to support an Australian civil contractor from the Philippines. You will join a remote team and play a key role in taking-off quantities, preparing BOQs, and handling tenders from scope to submission.

You will work closely with our Australian team on excavation, basements, groundworks, and asphalting projects, ensuring compliance with safety and estimation standards while delivering high-quality proposals for offshore work.

We are seeking an experienced Groundworks Estimator to join a leading Australian civil contractor, working remotely from the Philippines. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting tender submissions while collaborating closely with our Australian team.

Operating successfully for over ten years, our client is expanding its team and hiring its first remote estimator to help drive offshore growth. They work with top-tier contractors and government agencies across Australia, offering a stable and dynamic work environment.

The Opportunity

This is a great opportunity to join a leading progressive contractor with solid plans for growth. We are looking for a skilled Civil Estimator with solid expertise in earthmoving, basements, groundworks, and excavation works. Working directly with the company Director, you will handle both high-volume churn work and complex tender submissions. You will perform precise take-offs for cut and fill, curbs, pavements, and asphalting while taking ownership of tenders from initial scope to final submission within time.

Accountabilities:

• Perform detailed quantity take-offs
• Review, manage, and measure project drawings
• Liaise with clients and manage Requests for Information (RFIs)
• Issue and evaluate Requests for Quotation (RFQs) for tender preparation
• Manage multiple tender packages simultaneously

About You

You have prior experience supporting Australian civil construction projects, ideally covering excavation, basement, and groundwork packages for residential, commercial, or government developments. You can prepare comprehensive Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and have a strong grasp of estimation methodologies, safety standards, and environmental requirements so you can hit the ground running in this new remote role.

• Demonstrated expertise in civil excavation and groundworks
• Proficiency in Mudshark and Bluebeam
• Excellent written and verbal English communication
