Job summary

Outsourcey in the Philippines seeks an experienced drafting professional to produce engineering drawings and design documentation. You will interpret briefs, apply relevant standards, and ensure compliant, construction-ready drawings across multiple disciplines.

You will collaborate with Engineers, maintain CAD procedures, handle revisions, and ensure accuracy and completeness of all design packages.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years experience in HMP Engineering and Civil design; proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Produce engineering drawings and design documentation from sketches and marked-up drawings.
• Interpret briefs and ensure compliance with Australian drafting standards and design principles.
• Identify inconsistencies with standards and constructability; raise to Engineering as needed.
• Adhere to CAD standards, drafting procedures, and project requirements throughout production.
• Complete and maintain Design Checklists before submission for review.
• Coordinate with Engineers to resolve drafting queries and ensure design intent is reflected.
• Manage drawing revisions and cross-reference drawing sets across disciplines.

Profile Requirements

• 5-8 years experience in HMP Engineering use AutoCad Civil 3D for all Civil design.

Core responsibilities

• Produce engineering drawings and design documentation based on sketches, marked-up drawings, and information provided by the Engineering team
• Apply a working knowledge of relevant Australian standards and engineering design principles to independently interpret briefs and produce compliant, construction-ready drawings
• Identify and raise with the Engineering team where design sketches or briefs appear inconsistent with standard requirements, good practice, or constructability
• Adhere to HMP drafting procedures, CAD standards, and project-specific drawing requirements throughout all stages of production
• Complete and maintain Design Checklists for all drawings prior to submission for engineering review, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Coordinate with Engineers to resolve drafting queries and ensure design intent is accurately reflected in all documentation
• Manage drawing revisions
• Coordinate the production of complete drawing packages across multiple disciplines or project stages, ensuring consistency and cross-referencing across the drawing set
