Job summary

Dempsey Resource Management Inc. is seeking a licensed Geodetic/Civil Engineer to lead a surveying team on multiple field projects.

You will plan, direct, and execute surveys, collect data with total station, GPS, and level equipment, and prepare technical documents for client submissions and project use. You will verify calculations, coordinate with clients and contractors, and assist in scheduling, budgeting, and progress monitoring.

Qualifications

• Licensed Geodetic or Civil Engineer required.
• Familiar with surveying equipment (total station, GPS, level).
• Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong leadership and clear communication for a surveying team.
• Able to work outdoors, travel to sites, and meet deadlines.

• Plan, organize, and direct the activities of the geodetic surveying team.
• Conduct surveys to determine exact positions, measurements of points, elevations, lines, areas, volumes, contours, and other land surface features.
• Collect and validate survey data using surveying equipment (total station, GPS, level, etc.).
• Ensure proper maintenance, calibration, and safekeeping of all surveying instruments.
• Analyze and interpret collected data to ensure adherence to project specifications and geodetic standards.
• Verify the accuracy of all mathematical calculations related to survey work.
• Prepare survey plans, drawings, and technical documents for submission and project use.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders regarding survey findings and project status.
• Assist in project management tasks, including scheduling, budgeting, and progress monitoring.
• Identify and address potential survey issues before they affect the project timeline or quality.
• Submit weekly progress reports and ensure timely delivery of survey outputs.
• Ensure the surveying team complies with health, safety, and environmental regulations on site.
