The ideal candidate has a licensed radiologic technologist credential with at least five years in a supervisory role and a Master’s degree or equivalent specialty training.

Qualifications

• Licensed Radiologic Technologist.
• At least five years of supervisory or managerial radiology experience.
• Master’s Degree or formal training in specialty areas preferred.
• Leadership/Management training, Total Quality Management, Radiation Safety, and ACLS/BLS preferred.
• Strong knowledge of radiology section operations and workflows.
• Excellent leadership, decision-making, and communication skills.
• Physically and mentally fit to perform job duties.
• Active member and/or officer of a recognized Radiologic Technologists organization is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Radiology Section, ensuring efficient workflow and optimal patient care.
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate radiologic technologists and support staff.
• Ensure proper use, maintenance, and quality control of radiologic equipment.
• Implement and monitor radiation safety policies and procedures in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Coordinate scheduling, staffing, and coverage for all radiology services.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, DOH regulations, and accreditation requirements.
• Participate in departmental planning, budgeting, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to radiology services.
• Stay updated on new radiology modalities, technologies, and best practices.
• Collaborate with physicians, department heads, and hospital management to improve service delivery.
• Handle administrative and leadership functions related to the Radiology Section as assigned.

Qualifications

• Licensed Radiologic Technologist

• At least five (5) years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a Radiology Department.

• Preferably with a Master’s Degree or formal training in specialty areas.

• Preferably with training in:

  • Leadership and Management

  • Total Quality Management

  • Radiation Safety and related trainings

  • ACLS / BLS

• Strong knowledge of radiology section operations and workflows.

• Excellent leadership, decision-making, and supervisory skills.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Physically and mentally fit to perform job duties.

• Demonstrates good moral character, professionalism, and a constructive attitude.

• Active member and/or officer of a recognized Radiologic Technologists organization is an advantage.
