Job summary

MGallery Hotel Collection in Manila seeks a Chief Engineer to oversee the efficient operation of the hotel, its equipment and maintenance of structural assets. The role ensures safety and regulatory compliance while safeguarding the owner’s assets.

You will work with Design and Construction teams, supervise safety training, and coordinate with contractors to deliver renovations and preventive maintenance, maintaining high standards of service.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient operation of the hotel property and all equipment, and protect the Owner's assets.
• Collaborate with Design and Construction teams, engineers, and external architects on renovations and related projects.
• Bid contractor work, meet with construction supervisors and oversee project execution.
• Educate and train team members on current safety issues to ensure compliance with local laws and safety regulations.
• Supervise the maintenance and repair of the interior and exterior of buildings, hotel rooms and contents.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Description

Responsible in ensuring the efficient operation of the hotel property and all its equipment, ancillary maintenance and repair services and protection of the Owner's asset. Structural aspects of the hotel as well as the maintenance of grounds and external facilities fall within the span of responsibility of the Chief Engineer.

Work with Design and Construction team, engineers, and/or outside architects regarding renovations and other such projects; contact contractors for bids and meet with appropriate construction supervisors.

Educate/train team members on current safety issues to ensure compliance with all local laws and safety regulations.

Supervise the Maintenance and of repair the interior and exterior of buildings, hotel rooms and contents

Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the Management.
