Job summary

Moog is seeking a Chemical Process Operator I for onsite work in Baguio City, PH. The ideal candidate has a Chemical Technology background or is a 2nd-year engineering student and at least 1 year of experience handling chemicals and procedures.

The role includes performing aqueous cleaning, loading parts, labeling chemicals, conducting tests with laboratory instruments, grit blasting, masking/demasking, and executing processes such as alodine passivation and nickel coatings under guidance.

Qualifications

• Chemical Technology graduate or second-year related Engineering
• Experience with chemicals and procedures

Responsibilities

• Perform Aqueous Cleaning as per EP 3628
• Load and unload parts on fixtures/ Baskets
• Label chemicals
• Conduct system tests using hydrometer, thermometer, PH meter, timer and other measuring instruments for alodine, passivation and related processes
• Operate grit blaster for etching
• Masking and demasking of parts
• Carry out chemical processes with guidance from Operator II (Alodine Passivation, De-rusting, Desmutting, Temper, Etch, Metalast Coating, Brush Zinc Nickel, Iridite 80)

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Assures reliability and making the most out of manufactured and/or purchased parts being used for various Moog applications. Chemical processing is responsible for chemical cleaning, treatments and coatings which can help in extending the lives of metals and ensuring the safety of people using the material.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform Aqueous Cleaning as per EP 3628
• Load and unload parts on fixtures/ Baskets
• Label chemicals
• Conduct system test as per engineering procedures using different laboratory apparatus like hydrometer, thermometer, PH meter, timer, and other measuring instruments which shall be used for alodine and passivation, and other processes requiring measuring instrument.
• Operate grit blaster for etching
• Masking and demasking of parts
• Conduct the following chemical processes with guidance from Chemical Process Operator II. Alodine Passivation De-rusting Desmutting Temper Etch/nital etch Pre-penetrant Etch Metalast Coating Brush Zinc Nickel Plating Iridite 80 Coating

EDUCATION

Chemical Technology graduate or at least 2nd year related Engineering

With 1 year experience in fields working with chemicals and procedures
