Job summary

Moog in Baguio City, Philippines seeks a Chemical Process Operator I to join the Production team. The role focuses on chemical cleaning, treatment, and coating processes to extend metal life and ensure safety of finished parts.

You will perform cleaning per EP 3628, load parts, label chemicals, conduct tests with laboratory instruments, operate grit blaster, and execute steps such as alodine and passivation under guidance. A chemical technology background with 1 year experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Background in chemical processing and lab testing required.
• Experience with chemical cleaning, treatments, coatings preferred.
• 1 year of experience in chemical-related roles is desired.

Responsibilities

• Perform aqueous cleaning per EP 3628.
• Load and unload parts on fixtures/baskets.
• Label chemicals.
• Conduct system tests using hydrometer, thermometer, pH meter, timer and other instruments.
• Operate grit blaster for etching.
• Masking and demasking of parts.
• Carry out chemical processes (Alodine, Passivation, De-rusting, Desmutting, Temper Etch, Pre-penetrant Etch, Metalast Coating, Brush Zinc Nickel Plating, Iridite 80 Coating) with guidance.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Assures reliability and making the most out of manufactured and/or purchased parts being used for various Moog applications. Chemical processing is responsible for chemical cleaning, treatments and coatings which can help in extending the lives of metals and ensuring the safety of people using the material.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform Aqueous Cleaning as per EP 3628
• Load and unload parts on fixtures/ Baskets
• Label chemicals
• Conduct system test as per engineering procedures using different laboratory apparatus like hydrometer, thermometer, PH meter, timer, and other measuring instruments which shall be used for alodine and passivation, and other processes requiring measuring instrument.
• Operate grit blaster for etching
• Masking and demasking of parts
• Conduct the following chemical processes with guidance from Chemical Process Operator II.

EDUCATION

Chemical Technology graduate or at least 2nd year related Engineering
