Job summary
EROAD is hiring a Chapter Lead in Manila to unify technical and people leadership for its embedded Java engineering community. You will own the technical authority on Java, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, and cloud-native backend services while coaching engineers and setting coding standards.

Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and microservices.
- Experience leading engineers and establishing standards across squads or chapters.
- Hands-on AI coding tools experience with review expectations, context management and safe adoption practices.
Responsibilities
- Act as technical authority on Java and Spring Boot architecture across Manila squads.
- Lead and coach Tech Leads and engineers through design, implementation, review and delivery.
- Set and continuously improve engineering standards across a chapter or community of practice.
- Drive disciplined practices for AI-assisted engineering, including review expectations and context management.
- Spot AI-generated code failure modes early and put guardrails in place to avoid risk.
- Collaborate with product, architecture, delivery and operations in a SaaS environment.
- Participate in on-call rotation per company policy.
