Job summary

MicroSourcing in Taguig City is seeking a CDI Trainer – IP to design, deliver, and manage learning programs that develop CDI professionals. You will oversee new hire training, cross-training, quality initiatives, and ongoing learning to meet client expectations and operational targets.

The role requires CDI training experience, RN license (PRC or USRN), BSN, and EMR proficiency. This onsite night-shift position offers healthcare benefits, bonuses, and career growth within a diverse team.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years delivering CDI or clinical coding training in a BPO or healthcare organization.
• Minimum of 2 years acute care clinical experience in hospital setting (ICU or Medical-Surgical).
• BSN degree required.
• PRC RN license or active USRN license.
• CCDS, CDIP, or CCS certification.
• Strong knowledge of RCM, ICD-10-CM/PCS, MS-DRG, and risk adjustment.
• Experience with EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Meditech.
• Excellent written and verbal English at CEFR B2 level.

Responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end training programs, including onboarding, cross-training, and refreshers.
• Customize training materials based on client requirements and SLAs.
• Conduct knowledge assessments, practical evaluations, and feedback sessions.
• Develop, update, and maintain SOPs, job aids, and learning resources.
• Maintain training records and reports including attendance and outcomes.
• Partner with QA and Operations to identify gaps and align training with goals.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and clients to support onboarding and present updates.

Your Role

As a Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) Trainer – IP, you will design, deliver, and manage learning programs that support the development of CDI professionals. You will oversee new hire training, cross-training, quality initiatives, and continuous learning programs to ensure employees meet client expectations and operational goals.

Specifically, You Will:

• Deliver end-to-end training programs, including new hire onboarding, cross-training, and refresher courses for existing team members.
• Customize training materials based on client requirements, service level agreements (SLAs), payer guidelines, and electronic medical record (EMR) platforms.
• Conduct knowledge assessments, practical evaluations, and feedback sessions to measure learning effectiveness and readiness.
• Develop, update, and maintain training materials, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), job aids, and learning resources based on process changes.
• Maintain training records and reports, including attendance, assessment results, training completion, and speed-to-proficiency metrics.
• Partner with Quality Assurance (QA) and Operations teams to identify performance gaps, recommend coaching plans, and align training initiatives with operational goals.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and clients to support onboarding activities, participate in calibration sessions, and present training updates and performance dashboards.

What You Need

• At least 2 years of experience delivering CDI or clinical coding training in a BPO or healthcare organization.
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care clinical experience in a hospital setting, preferably in ICU or Medical-Surgical units.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Active Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Registered Nurse (PHRN) license or active USRN license.
• Current professional certification such as CCDS, CDIP, or CCS.
• Strong knowledge of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), ICD-10-CM/PCS coding, MS-DRG methodology, and risk adjustment.
• Experience using hospital electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Meditech.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills (minimum CEFR B2 level).

Preferred Skills/Expertise

• Master's degree or postgraduate qualification in healthcare, business, education, or a related field.
• Experience using CDI and coding technologies, as well as Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
• Strong presentation, facilitation, instructional design, and coaching skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed healthcare environment.
