Job summary

MicroSourcing is seeking a CDI Auditor to oversee quality assurance activities, audit clinical documentation, and support CDI specialists. The role aims to improve documentation accuracy, optimize workflows, and drive better patient outcomes.

You will monitor team performance, provide coaching, and maintain QA records, collaborating with Operations, Training, and HR to ensure continuous improvement and client alignment. Strong CDI/coding audit experience in healthcare or BPO is essential.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of CDI or coding audit experience in a BPO or healthcare organization.
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care clinical experience in a hospital setting (ICU or Medical-Surgical).
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Active PRC Registered Nurse (PHRN) license or active USRN license.
• Current professional certification such as CCDS, CDIP, or CCS.
• Strong knowledge of Revenue Cycle Management, ICD-10-CM/PCS coding, MS-DRG methodology, and risk adjustment.
• Experience using hospital EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Meditech.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills (CEFR B2).

Responsibilities

• Monitor CDI team performance using productivity, quality, and accuracy metrics.
• Provide coaching, mentoring, training, and performance feedback to CDI specialists.
• Maintain accurate QA records, audit findings, and educational documentation.
• Escalate quality or production issues to management and coordinate with training teams for improvements.
• Collaborate with Operations, Training, and HR to support onboarding and client calibrations.
• Present quality metrics and performance updates during client visits and internal reviews.

Your Role

As a Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) Auditor, you will oversee quality assurance activities, audit clinical documentation, and support the performance and development of CDI specialists. Your role will help healthcare organizations improve documentation accuracy, optimize workflows, and achieve quality patient outcomes.

Specifically, You Will

• Support the development and continuous improvement of the Quality Assurance (QA) program, including workflow audits and process optimization initiatives.
• Monitor and evaluate CDI team performance using productivity, quality, and accuracy metrics.
• Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, training, and performance feedback to CDI specialists.
• Maintain accurate QA records, audit findings, and educational documentation.
• Escalate quality or production issues to management and collaborate with training teams to ensure continuous improvement.
• Partner with Operations, Training, and HR teams to support onboarding, process improvements, and client calibration sessions.
• Assist during client visits, internal audits, and operational reviews by presenting quality metrics, training dashboards, and performance updates.

What You Need

Non-negotiables

• At least 2 years of CDI or coding audit experience in a BPO or healthcare organization.
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care clinical experience in a hospital setting, preferably in ICU or Medical-Surgical units.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Active Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Registered Nurse (PHRN) license or active USRN license.
• Current professional certification such as CCDS, CDIP, or CCS.
• Strong knowledge of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), ICD-10-CM/PCS coding, MS-DRG methodology, and risk adjustment.
• Experience using hospital electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Meditech.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills (minimum CEFR B2 level).

Preferred Skills/Expertise

• Master's degree or additional professional qualification in healthcare, business, or a related field.
• Advanced knowledge of CDI and coding technologies, as well as Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, matrixed healthcare environment.
