Job summary

MicroSourcing in the Philippines is seeking a CDI Auditor to oversee quality assurance, audit clinical documentation, and support CDI specialists to improve documentation accuracy and patient outcomes.

This onsite night-shift role requires a BSN, active RN license (PRC/USRN), CDI certifications, and experience with Epic/Cerner/Meditech in a healthcare setting. You will drive QA initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of CDI or coding audit experience in a BPO or healthcare organization.
• 2 years of acute care clinical experience in a hospital setting, ICU or M/S units preferred.
• BSN degree required.
• Active PRC RN license or active USRN license.
• Current professional CDI/coding certifications (CCDS/CDIP/CCS).
• Strong knowledge of RCM, ICD-10-CM/PCS, MS-DRG methodology, and risk adjustment.
• Experience with EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Meditech.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication (CEFR B2).

Responsibilities

• Support QA program development including workflow audits and process improvement.
• Monitor CDI team performance with productivity, quality, and accuracy metrics.
• Provide coaching, training, and feedback to CDI specialists.
• Maintain QA records, findings, and educational documentation.
• Escalate QA or production issues and collaborate on training.
• Work with Operations/HR to support onboarding and client calibration sessions.
• Assist during client visits and audits by presenting quality metrics and dashboards.

Your Role:

As a Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) Auditor, you will oversee quality assurance activities, audit clinical documentation, and support the performance and development of CDI specialists. Your role will help healthcare organizations improve documentation accuracy, optimize workflows, and achieve quality patient outcomes.

Specifically, you will:

• Support the development and continuous improvement of the Quality Assurance (QA) program, including workflow audits and process optimization initiatives.
• Monitor and evaluate CDI team performance using productivity, quality, and accuracy metrics.
• Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, training, and performance feedback to CDI specialists.
• Maintain accurate QA records, audit findings, and educational documentation.
• Escalate quality or production issues to management and collaborate with training teams to ensure continuous improvement.
• Partner with Operations, Training, and HR teams to support onboarding, process improvements, and client calibration sessions.
• Assist during client visits, internal audits, and operational reviews by presenting quality metrics, training dashboards, and performance updates.

What You Need:

Non-negotiables

• At least 2 years of CDI or coding audit experience in a BPO or healthcare organization.
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care clinical experience in a hospital setting, preferably in ICU or Medical-Surgical units.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Active Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Registered Nurse (PHRN) license or active USRN license.
• Current professional certification such as CCDS, CDIP, or CCS.
• Strong knowledge of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), ICD-10-CM/PCS coding, MS-DRG methodology, and risk adjustment.
• Experience using hospital electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Meditech.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills (minimum CEFR B2 level).

Preferred skills/expertise

• Master's degree or additional professional qualification in healthcare, business, or a related field.
• Advanced knowledge of CDI and coding technologies, as well as Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, matrixed healthcare environment.
