Responsibilities

• Operate and perform ECG, treadmill stress test, 24-hour ambulatory BP monitoring and 24-hour Holter monitoring.
• Obtain and record patient medical history related to the procedure.
• Take baseline vital signs.
• Explain the procedure to the patient.
• Monitor patients' comfort and safety during procedures.
• Alert physicians to abnormalities or changes in patient response.
• Inspect and maintain unit equipment to ensure proper function.
• Perform administrative tasks: handle inquiries, census, inventories, and filing of patient records.
• Release results on time.
• Participate in quality improvement activities of the organization.

About the role

Cardiovascular Technician is responsible for assisting sonographer & cardiologist during cardiac testing and procedures, as well as for documenting patient data.

Key responsibilities

• Operates and performs procedures such as electrocardiogram, treadmill stress test, 24 hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring and 24 hour Holter monitoring
• Obtain and record medical history from the patient that is related to or may affect the procedure
• Take baseline vital signs
• Explain the procedure to the patient
• Constantly monitor patients comfort and safety during procedures
• Alert physicians to abnormalities or changes in patient's response
• Inspects and maintains equipment at the unit to ensure machine will work properly
• Perform administrative work such as answering phone call inquiries, processing monthly census, inventories and filing patient's information and documents
• Responsible in releasing the results on time
• Participates in quality improvement initiative activities of the organization

About you

• Graduate of any four (4) year medical allied course
• At least (6) six months work related experience
