Job summary

MyHealth Clinic is seeking a Cardiovascular Technologist to operate 2D Echo, ECG, and Treadmill machines, delivering accurate information for prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. You will assist with patient intake and ensure consent for treadmill tests, while maintaining equipment and patient confidentiality.

The candidate must be a licensed nurse with at least 6 months of relevant experience, proficient in nursing processes, and able to use 2D Echo, ECG, and treadmill devices, with knowledge

Qualifications

• Must have nursing knowledge of nursing process and practice.
• Must be licensed and trained as a nurse in the same capacity.
• At least 6 months of experience in the same capacity, preferably in the healthcare industry.
• Knows how to operate 2D Echo, Treadmill, and ECG machines.
• Knowledge of database systems.
• Valid 2D Echo training.

Responsibilities

• Assist, register, queue, and verify patient information at the Heart Station.
• Ensure consent is secured for treadmill tests.
• Inspect and maintain 2D Echo/ECG/Treadmill equipment and report issues.
• Review patient medical history and provide procedure instructions.
• Explain procedures to patients and review medical history for exposure guidelines.
• Position patients and attach supportive devices for accurate results.
• Operate equipment to obtain quality information for diagnosis and treatment.
• Record results and submit reports to the Physician; maintain confidentiality.
• Notify Physician of abnormal results and assist in interpretation.
• Monitor inventory of instruments and supplies and reorder as needed.

MyHealth Clinic is seeking a Cardiovascular Technologist or 2D Echo Technologist to provide highly accurate and reliable service by operating 2D Echo, ECG, and Treadmill machines in a safe and proficient manner in order to obtain information/images that will be used in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist, register, queue, and verify patient information in the Heart Station
• Ensure that signed waiver/consent is secured from patients who will undergo a Treadmill test
• Check, clean, and maintain 2D Echo / ECG / Treadmill machines and recommend repair or replacement of defective equipment
• Conduct review of patients' medical history and provide clear instruction on established exposure guidelines
• Prepare patients by explaining the purpose of procedures and reviewing medical history
• Arrange, attach, and adjust supportive devices to obtain precise position and prevent patient movement
• Operate 2D Echo / ECG / Treadmill machines to obtain quality and relevant information for prevention, diagnosis, and treatment
• Record results, prepare and submit reports to the Physician for analysis, and maintain patient confidentiality
• Notify Physician of abnormal patient results and assist in interpreting image/data obtained
• Monitor inventory of medical instruments and office supplies and recommend replenishment

About you

• Must be a licensed Nurse and trained in the same capacity
• At least 6 months of experience in the same capacity, preferably gained from the same industry
• Knowledge of nursing process and practice
• Knows how to use 2D Echo, Treadmill, and ECG machines
