Job summary

De Los Santos Medical Center in Quezon City is seeking a dedicated nurse to support cardiovascular diagnostic services. You will provide day-to-day patient care across 2D Echocardiography, vascular duplex scans, and related procedures, ensuring safety and comfort.

You will assist echocardiographers, handle documentation, maintain equipment, and participate in continuing education. Fresh graduates are welcome; certification in Echocardiography and Vascular is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required.
• Echocardiography and Vascular Level 1 & 2 certificates are preferred; PRC license optional.

Responsibilities

• Performs Cardiac ultrasound (2D Echocardiogram) and vascular duplex scans.
• Assists Echocardiographer during Transesophageal Echocardiogram and pediatric cases.
• Handles documentation, results typing, proofreading, and ensures equipment sterilization.

Job description

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

FOCUSED AREA AND PERCENTAGE: Patient care, 60%

Ensures to provide the day-to-day patient care in relation to cardiovascular diagnostic services.

• Performs ProcedureCardiac ultrasound (2D Echocardiogram, Treadmill Stress Echocardiogram, Dobutamine Stress Echocardiogram)
• Performs procedure Vascular level 1 (Carotid Duplex Scan, Arterial Duplex Scan, Venous Duplex Scan, Ankle Brachial Index,)
• Performs procedure Vascular level 2 (Renal Duplex Scan, Abdominal Aorta Duplex Scan, Transcranial Duplex Scan, Inferior Vena Cava Duplex Scan, AV Mapping)
• Facilitates patients in the procedure; taking into consideration their safety and well-being.
• Assists the Echocardiographer on Transesophageal Echocardiogram
• Assists in Pediatric 2D Echocardiogram
• Gives initial interpretation/reading to 2D Echo and vascular procedures specially for in-patients
• Performs typing, proofreading and photocopying of results
• Provides proper care and maintenance of the equipment like sterilization and proper disposal of infectious materials.
• Participates in Continuing Professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops and seminars.
• Requesting and production at SAP
• Assists with reception duties by greeting patients, verifying appointments, receiving documents, coordinating patient flow, and addressing basic inquiries while maintaining confidentiality.
• Conducts both routine and emergency (STAT) echocardiograms, as well as on-call procedures outside of regular working hours.

Ensure staff compliance with standards and operational protocols, policies, and procedures. / 100% completion with 0 complaints; 100 % performance efficiency.

• Prepare timely, appropriate and accurate documentation in accordance with accepted documentation standards.

FOCUSED AREA AND PERCENTAGE: Administrative tasks, 20 %

Other Admin tasks. / Ensures adequate, accurate and timely reporting and feedback of information to concerned areas/unit.

• Assist in the preparation of reports for the Cardiovascular diagnostic services
• Attends the monthly departmental meeting.
• Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned by the Department Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Fresh graduate or with previous job related
• Echocardiography and Vascular (L1 & L2) Certificate. With or without PRC licensed.
