Job description

Design and develop commercial and industrial solar PV systems, including rooftop, ground-mounted, and hybrid solar installations. Conduct site assessments and technical surveys to evaluate solar potential, electrical requirements, structural conditions, and site constraints. Prepare solar PV system designs, including single-line diagrams (SLDs), electrical layouts, equipment specifications, and system sizing. Perform energy yield calculations, load analysis, and system simulations to optimize system performance and energy production. Develop and review engineering drawings, BOQs, equipment specifications, and technical proposals for C&I solar projects. Select and specify appropriate solar modules, inverters, mounting systems, batteries, protection devices, cables, and other electrical equipment. Coordinate with clients, contractors, suppliers, project managers, and other engineering disciplines to ensure project requirements are met.

Support permitting, utility interconnection, and compliance requirements, including coordination with relevant authorities and utility providers.

Provide technical support during procurement, installation, testing, commissioning, and project turnover.

Conduct inspections and quality checks to ensure installations comply with approved designs, engineering standards, safety requirements, and project specifications.

Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, PV system, inverter, monitoring, and performance-related issues.

Monitor project progress and provide technical input to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to specifications.

Review and validate contractor and subcontractor work, including installation methods, materials, testing results, and as-built documentation.
