Job summary

ECG Engineering is seeking a Business Systems Manager to strengthen governance across enterprise risk, quality, information governance and AI governance for its global business.

Working with executives and operations, you will implement practical controls, lead risk management and oversee the Integrated Management System and document management, while driving accountability and clarity.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve ECG’s governance framework, including policies and controls.
• Lead enterprise risk management with reporting and escalation of material exposures.
• Oversee Integrated Management System and Quality Document Management System.
• Establish risk-based quality assurance and internal audit programs; support external certification.
• Set governance requirements for critical business systems, including AI governance and data handling.
• Collaborate with Finance, Projects, Operations and legal on material business risks.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Business Systems Manager to strengthen the governance framework that supports ECG’s global business.

Working closely with executive and operational leaders, you will shape practical controls across enterprise risk, management systems, quality assurance, business systems, information governance and AI governance.

This is a broad, influential role for someone who can bring structure, clarity and accountability to a growing international business without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and improve ECG’s governance framework, including policies, delegations, approvals and management system controls
• Lead enterprise risk management, including risk criteria, reporting, treatment actions and escalation of material exposures
• Oversee the Integrated Management System and Quality Document Management System, ensuring controlled information remains current and effective
• Establish and oversee a risk-based quality assurance and internal audit program, including corrective action and external certification support
• Set governance requirements for critical business systems, including ownership, access, information control, retention and change management
• Establish practical governance for the business use of AI, including approval, human review, data handling, accountability and monitoring
• Lead governance resources and partner with Finance, Projects, Operations and the commercial and legal function on material business risks

What You’ll Bring

• A degree in law, commerce, business, engineering, quality management or a related discipline
• Substantial senior management experience across governance, assurance, commercial risk or business systems in a complex organisation
• Demonstrated experience leading teams and influencing executive and operational decision-makers
• Experience overseeing management systems, audit programs, corrective actions and controlled documentation
• Strong judgement, communication and stakeholder management capability
• Experience in engineering, construction, resources or project delivery is highly regarded
• Postgraduate study or certification in auditing, risk management or management systems is desirable
