EY's Consulting - Internal Audit Manager role offers you a chance to lead risk-based internal audits, process reviews and SOP development within a global advisory firm.

You will manage client engagements, mentor staff, and ensure quality delivery while aligning with risk management plans and budgets. Based in the Philippines, the role requires CA or MBA and at least seven years of Internal Audit experience; travel may be required.

Consulting- Internal Audit – Manager

As part of our Consulting - Internal Audit team you will lead client engagements related to risk-based Internal Audits, process and compliance reviews and development of Standard Operating Procedure Manuals.

The opportunity

We’re looking for Manager with expertise in Internal Audit to join the leadership group of our EY-Consulting Risk Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a leading firm and a global team whilst being instrumental in the growth of a new service offering.

Your Key Responsibilities

Client Management

• Understand the client’s business & related industry issues / trends.
• Develop strong working relationships with the client and onshore client teams
• Maintain excellent rapport and proactive communication with the client

Quality delivery

• Review execution of internal audit engagements while working back with client and onsite client teams.
• Support client and onsite client teams in developing scope for internal audit, process and compliance reviews.
• Identify process gaps and accordingly provide recommendation in areas requiring improvement based on the client's business process and industry practice.
• Conduct follow up audits to monitor management’s interventions and actions
• Communicating to appropriate audience the audit scope, protocol, status, issues, risks and recommendations via written reports and presentations
• Manage multiple assignments and related project teams.
• Meet quality guidelines within the established turnaround time (or allotted budget) for assigned requests.
• Constantly monitor project progress and verify that key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes.
• Demonstrate application and solution-based approach to problem solving while executing client engagements and documenting working papers.
• Anticipate and identify engagement related risks and elevate issues as appropriate on a timely basis.
• Mentor and coach Staff and Senior members, enabling them to meet their performance goals and successfully grow their careers.

Operational

• Ensure compliance with risk management strategies, plans and activities of the firm.
• Manage the engagement budgets in developing marketing collaterals, business proposals and new solution / methodology development.
• Leads the planning and scheduling optimum staff levels for engagements.

Market Leadership

• Participate / support business development initiatives.
• Support multiple innovation initiatives to enhance existing solutions leveraging emerging technologies like Robotics, AI, Advanced Analytics.
• Support the practice in developing thought leadership content and other innovation initiatives from time to time.

To qualify for the role, you must have

• CA or MBA (Master’s in business administration)
• At least 7 years of Internal Audit experience with a consulting firm or in an Internal Audit department of an organization (experience in Education Sector is an advantage)
• Technical experience in Finance, Operations or Regulatory Compliance
• Knowledge of cross-functional business processes (order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, record-to-report, etc.)
