Job summary

ECG Engineering is seeking a Senior Electrical 2D Draftsperson to join our Manila team. You will prepare and update electrical and instrumentation drawings for mining, industrial, EPCM projects and liaise with engineers and multidisciplinary teams.

You will produce block diagrams, schematics, termination, GA and panel layouts, incorporate mark-ups, and ensure compliance with drafting standards. On-site work in BGC, Manila is required, with opportunities to contribute to international projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in electrical design and 2D drafting in mining/industrial EPCM.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and related drafting software.
• Ability to interpret engineering sketches and vendor docs.
• Willingness to work on-site in BGC, Manila.

We are looking for a Senior Electrical 2D Draftsperson to join our growing engineering team in Manila. This role is ideal for a drafting professional with a strong background in electrical and instrumentation design, particularly within mining, industrial, EPCM, or heavy engineering environments.

Working closely with engineers and multidisciplinary project teams, you will play a key role in the preparation, coordination, and delivery of high-quality engineering documentation for international projects.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Prepare and update electrical and instrumentation design drawings in accordance with project requirements and company standards.
• Provide design drafting or document preparation for electrical & instrumentation deliverables including but not limited to:
  • Block Diagrams
  • Schematics Drawings
  • Termination Drawings
  • Interconnection Wiring Diagrams/Loop Diagrams
  • General Arrangement (GA) Drawings
  • Equipment Layout Drawings
  • Instrument Hook-up/Installation Drawings
  • Panel and Junction Box Layouts
• Incorporate engineer mark-ups and design changes into project deliverables.
• Ensure all drawings comply with company drafting standards, project specifications, and client requirements.
• Coordinate with electrical, instrumentation, mechanical, and structural disciplines to maintain design consistency.
• Participate in design reviews and quality assurance processes.
• Maintain drawing registers and support document control requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of material take-offs and engineering documentation where required

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Drafting Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum5 years' experience in electrical design and 2D drafting within mining, industrial, EPCM, or heavy engineering projects.
• Demonstrated experience producing:
  • Single Line Diagrams
  • Block Diagrams
  • Schematic Drawings
  • Termination Drawings
  • General Arrangement Drawings
• Strong understanding of electrical distribution and industrial instrumentation systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and related drafting software.
• Ability to interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and vendor documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Willingness to work on-site in BGC, Manila.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience working on mining, mineral processing, metals, or heavy industrial projects.
• Familiarity with Australian and international engineering standards.
• Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering environments.
• Exposure to EPCM projects and engineering consulting services.
• Exposure to brownfield and greenfield project environments.
