Job description

As the Business Insights Manager, you will lead a high-performing team of analysts dedicated to transforming complex data into actionable insights. You will oversee the end-to-end analytics lifecycle—from data ingestion and cleaning to the delivery of sophisticated Tableau dashboards. You will serve as the technical mentor for the team and the primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring that our data products are accurate, scalable, and visually compelling.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and coach a team of data analysts. Conduct code reviews, provide technical guidance on SQL/Tableau best practices, and oversee professional development.

• Pipeline & Quality Oversight: Ensure the integrity of data flowing from multiple sources. Establish 'single source of truth' protocols and validate the accuracy of all reports before they reach stakeholders.

• Tableau Governance: Define and enforce standards for dashboard design, performance optimization (extracts vs. live connections), and workbook organization.

• Stakeholder Management: Translate business requirements from various departments into technical specifications. Manage the team's sprint cycle or project queue to ensure timely delivery.

• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting processes and streamline data workflows between our data warehouse and Tableau.

Qualifications

Experience

5+ years in data analytics, with at least 1-2 years in a lead or supervisory capacity.

Tableau Mastery

Expert-level proficiency in Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server/Cloud (LOD expressions, complex parameters, and performance tuning are second nature).

Technical Stack

• Strong SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation.

• Experience working with diverse data sources (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Salesforce, or Excel/APIs).

• Familiarity with data modeling concepts (Star/Snowflake schemas).

Communication

• Experience with Alteryx, dbt, or similar ETL/ELT tools.

• Knowledge of Python or R for advanced statistical modeling.

• Tableau Desktop Lead or Server Certified Professional status.
