Job summary

TaskUs is seeking a Business Insights Analyst to strategically influence executive decisions through data-driven storytelling. You will mentor teams and manage high-level stakeholder relationships while ensuring data quality across dashboards and reports.

The role requires SQL proficiency, data visualization expertise, and a solid AI/ML foundation. Onsite work in the Philippines with night shifts, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes.

Qualifications

What can you expect in a Business Insights Analyst role with TaskUs:

• Focus: Strategic influence, mentorship, and high-level stakeholder management.
• Strategic Storytelling: Architect data-driven narratives that translate complex datasets into high-level business stories, directly influencing executive strategy and pivoting organizational tactics.
• Decision Support Leadership: Oversee the synthesis of complex data into actionable frameworks, ensuring insights are prioritized based on their potential for business impact.
• Stakeholder Synthesis: Serve as the primary consultant to business partners, translating technical analytical findings into executive-ready next steps and strategic roadmaps.
• Reporting Strategy & Oversight: Define the roadmap for ad-hoc and automated reporting, ensuring all outputs align with core business KPIs and long-term objectives.
• Cross-Functional Orchestration: Lead collaborations with Data Visualization and Engineering teams to build scalable, repeatable reporting ecosystems that maintain high standards of data hygiene and trend discovery.
• Technical Liaison: Bridge the gap between technical teams and business units by translating high-level business requirements into robust technical specifications and vice versa.
• Insight Governance: Direct the integration of disparate data sources and the development of strategic assumptions to identify untapped market opportunities and business risks.

Must-Have Core Competencies:

• Statistical Modeling & Analysis: Ability to run rigorous statistical analysis on labeling outputs and determine the exact testing or sampling needed to improve the classifiers.
• Intermediate SQL: Ability to independently query and extract raw labeling data to serve as the source of our dashboards and reports.
• Data Visualization: Proficiency in tools like Looker Studio, Tableau, or Power BI to translate complex statistical findings into clear, actionable dashboards.
• AI/ML Background | Foundational ML / NLP Evaluation: Understanding of core machine learning metrics (Precision, Recall, F1 scores, etc.) to properly evaluate classifier performance and familiarity with the technical concepts and language.

Optional Skills:

• A/B Testing Framework Design: Experience setting up control groups for process changes.
• Root Cause Analysis: Ability to transition the role from simply reporting numbers to identifying the cause of errors.

Education / Certifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in ECE, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or any IT / Computer-related course.
