Business Development Supervisor - (Condiments & Sauces)
We are looking for a results-driven Business Development Supervisor to accelerate the growth of our condiments and sauces business. The role will focus on customer acquisition, developing new business opportunities, supporting private label initiatives, and ensuring continuous growth of existing accounts. This position will work closely with Sales, Marketing, Research and Development, Quality Assurance, Production, Procurement, and other cross-functional teams to drive commercial success and contribute to long-term business growth targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, acquire, and develop new customers and business opportunities for condiments and sauces.
- Manage and grow existing customer accounts to ensure continuous business development and customer satisfaction.
- Support the Sales Team in prospecting, customer presentations, product sampling, commercial proposals, and negotiations.
- Drive opportunities in private label, toll manufacturing, institutional, food service, and retail channels.
- Coordinate with Research and Development, Quality Assurance, Production, Production Planning and Inventory Control, and Procurement teams regarding product feasibility, costing, capacity, lead times, and customer requirements.
- Manage new product development and customer projects from initial inquiry through commercial launch.
- Support strategic business initiatives and special projects related to condiments and sauces.
- Collaborate with Sales, Trade Marketing, Business Units, and Merchandising teams to execute customer and consumer promotional programs.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, product innovations, pricing, packaging developments, and consumer preferences.
- Maintain and manage a robust customer acquisition and business development pipeline.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Food Technology, Food Science, or related field.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in business development, sales, marketing, trade marketing, account management, food technology, product development, or related functions.
- Experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, condiments, sauces, food service, retail, or private label businesses is highly preferred.
- Strong business development and customer acquisition experience.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong commercial mindset with a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate effectively across different departments.
- Strong planning, organizational, and follow-through skills.
- Experience in product development, food applications, formulation, or technical customer support.
- Knowledge of food products, market trends, competitor analysis, and customer requirements.
