THUNDER AUTOMOTIVE PARTS, INC. is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician responsible for the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of our facilities. This hands-on role reports to the Branch Manager and serves as the on-site point of contact for maintenance.
You'll perform routine inspections, minor repairs (bulbs, outlets, fixtures), HVAC care, fire safety checks, and coordination with external contractors to ensure smooth operations for staff and customers.
The Building Maintenance Technician ensures the safety, functionality, and aesthetic standards of our physical facilities. This role is hands-on, requiring a mix of technical skill and proactive inspection to create a seamless environment for both our employees and customers. You will be the primary point of contact for the physical integrity of the branch, reporting directly to the Branch Manager.
Conduct routine walkthroughs of interior and exterior structures (roofing, walls, flooring) to identify and preempt issues
Perform minor repairs, including replacing bulbs, ballasts, and faulty outlets
Manage leaks, unclog drains, and maintain restroom fixtures to ensure 100% uptime
Monitor and service Air Conditioning units, including cleaning filters and checking for refrigerant leaks
Ensure fire safety equipment (extinguishers, smoke detectors, emergency lights) is functional and meets local regulatory standards
Address minor needs such as repairing office furniture, door locks, or cabinetry
Assist in the setup and movement of equipment or furniture during branch reconfigurations or events
Act as the on-site point of contact for external contractors during major structural, elevator, or electrical overhauls
Maintain an organized inventory of tools and supplies, submitting requisition requests before stock outs occur
