Job summary

Polystar General Services Inc. is seeking a dedicated Building Engineer for Glorietta Makati to ensure safe and reliable operation of all building systems.

Based in Makati City, this full-time role involves coordinating maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building automation systems to support tenants and visitors. You will work with management and the maintenance team to plan inspections, address issues promptly, and uphold regulatory compliance while driving efficiency across

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent professional experience in building services engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Building Engineer or in facilities management/building maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety and building automation.
• Professional certification such as RAC license or EIT license or similar credentials.
• Thorough understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and environmental compliance in the Philippines.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to maintenance issues.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work with diverse teams.
• Proficiency in CMMS and basic computer applications.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to respond to emergencies outside regular hours.
• Physical fitness to perform hands-on maintenance including heights and confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation of all building MEP systems for safe, efficient performance.
• Conduct preventive maintenance schedules for building systems and infrastructure.
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies; coordinate with contractors as needed.
• Monitor building utilities to identify energy efficiency and cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with codes, safety regs, fire safety standards, and environmental rules.
• Supervise maintenance technicians and contractors to meet required standards.
• Maintain logs and records of maintenance activities and system performance.
• Communicate with management, tenants, and stakeholders about maintenance activities and upgrades.
• Provide safety training for maintenance staff and emergency procedures.
• Assist in budgeting for maintenance and capital improvements with cost estimates.
