Job summary

MicroSourcing International is seeking a diligent Bookkeeper to handle day-to-day bookkeeping activities from a work-from-home setup in Manila. You will record income and expenses, reconcile accounts, and support payroll processing with training provided for STP and BAS.

• Assist with BAS preparation by coding and reconciling reports for lodgement (training provided).
• Provide general bookkeeping support, maintain organized accounting records, and follow standard practices.
• Maintain accurate and well-organized financial records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with basic monthly management reporting as required.

Your Role

As a Bookkeeper, you will:

• Record and categorize business income and expenses accurately using the agreed accounting software.
• Perform monthly reconciliations of bank, credit card, and payment platform accounts.
• Support payroll processing, including payroll preparation, Single Touch Payroll (STP) submissions, and employee record maintenance. Training will be provided.
• Assist with BAS preparation by preparing accurate coding and reconciliation reports for lodgement. Training will be provided.
• Provide general bookkeeping support, respond to queries, maintain organized accounting records, and follow standard bookkeeping practices.
• Maintain accurate and well-organized financial records and supporting documentation.
• Support basic monthly management reporting as required.

What You Need

Non-negotiables

• Bookkeeping experience with strong knowledge of transaction processing and account reconciliations.
• Experience recording and categorizing income and expenses using accounting software.
• Hands-on experience with bank, credit card, and payment platform reconciliations.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling financial transactions and records.
• Ability to work independently, stay organized, and consistently follow established bookkeeping processes.

Preferred Skills/expertise

• Experience using MYOB or Xero.
• Exposure to Australian bookkeeping or accounting processes is an advantage, but Australian tax experience is not required.
• Willingness to learn Australian payroll, STP, BAS preparation, and related requirements.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage routine bookkeeping tasks accurately and within agreed timelines.

Training Provided

The role does not require prior Australian tax experience. Training will be provided for payroll processing, STP requirements, BAS preparation support, and relevant Australian bookkeeping processes.

Out of Scope

• Financial statement preparation for external audit.
• Business advisory or forecasting services.
• System implementation or migration projects.
• Historical bookkeeping clean-ups beyond the agreed scope.
• Full Accounts Payable management, including supplier invoice processing and payment runs.
• Full Accounts Receivable management, including customer invoicing, payment allocation, and aged receivables reporting.
