Job summary

MTvM Foundation in Quezon City is seeking a Bookkeeper with 1–2 years of experience to maintain accurate financial records, record daily transactions, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with government regulations. The Bookkeeper will work closely with the CEO to monitor cash flow and support audits.

Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is required; nonprofit experience is a plus. This is an on-site role located in Quezon City.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Maintain complete and accurate books and financial records.
  • Record daily transactions and ensure proper documentation.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Monitor cash receipts, disbursements, and bank transactions.
  • Process payments, reimbursements, and liquidation reports.
  • Reconcile bank statements and other records regularly.
  • Assist in budget preparation and governance reporting.
  • Coordinate with auditors and provide required documents.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
  • Support CEO with financial information and requested reports.

The Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records of the MTvM Foundation. The position ensures timely recording of financial transactions, preparation of financial reports, monitoring of cash flow, processing of payments, and compliance with accounting standards and government regulations. The Bookkeeper works closely with the CEO in ensuring proper stewardship, accountability, and transparency of the Foundation's financial resources.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain complete and accurate books of accounts and financial records.
  • Record daily financial transactions and ensure proper documentation.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Monitor cash receipts, disbursements, and bank transactions.
  • Prepare and process payments, reimbursements, and liquidation reports.
  • Reconcile bank statements and other financial records regularly.
  • Maintain records of donations, grants, and other Foundation funds.
  • Assist in budget preparation and monitoring.
  • Ensure proper filing and safekeeping of financial documents.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and provide required financial documents.
  • Monitor compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of government-mandated reports and requirements.
  • Process payroll-related records and employee benefits documentation, when assigned.
  • Provide financial information and reports requested by the CEO.
  • Perform other duties related to accounting, finance, and administration as may be assigned by the CEO.
Educational Qualification:

Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Financial Management, Bookkeeping, or any related field.

Experience:
  • At least one (1) to two (2) years of bookkeeping or accounting-related experience.
  • Experience in non-profit organizations, foundations, or church-related institutions is an advantage.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping principles, accounting procedures, and financial reporting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Knowledge of accounting software is an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledgeable in processing government-mandated requirements and compliance reports (e.g., BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG Fund, SEC, LGU permits, and other government agencies) is an advantage.
